Imagine a world where all illegal drugs are controlled by pharmaceutical companies instead of cartels. Made in safe, controlled environments. Where the avarge U.S. citizen could walk into a Walgreens or CVS and buy cocaine or marihuana? The legal business of drugs would wipe out the cartels and gang violence around the world! Not to mention the revenue generated from the taxation of all drugs!
People are going to use drugs no matter what the laws say. The legalization of drugs is a win win situation for the U.S. Giving control of all illegal drugs to the Pharmaceutical companies would generate jobs, revenue and freedom to choose for all citizens! The companies that manufactor and market the drugs could use profits to fund rehab centers and education on ways to quit using drugs for those who cannot control addiction. No more street violence and no more gang stranglehold s in cities like Chicago L.A. and D.C.
The laws could be set to regulate drugs just as they regulate alcohol and tobacco. The taxes raised from legal drugs sales would reduce this nation's debt dramatically. Cartels in Mexico, South America and Asia would be wiped out! No more gang violence in this country! The world war on drugs would be over! Defeating evil through capitalism.
